Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Houma, LA that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry. The Pipe Leaderman is responsible to direct the workforce in the successful fitting and welding of all piping components of assigned vessels.
Essential Functions:
Direct the workforce in system testing, fitting, welding and piping components for assigned vessels Interpret standard construction drawings to guide fitting and welding tasks Ensure adherence to welding specific processes and techniques Maintain familiarity with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction Communicate effectively with other supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and coordination Focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure it meets company and industry standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of craft-specific experience performing fitting/welding of piping functions Knowledge of welding-specific processes and techniques Familiarity with standard marine practices and general construction specifications Proficiency in fitting and welding piping components Ability to interpret and apply construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of welding techniques and marine construction practices Effective leadership and team management skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
