Our services include Environmental Remediation, De-Commissioning & Abandonment, Land Trust, Wetland Mitigation, and Conservatory Easement Field and Technical Services. Role Description The Rigger is responsible for assisting craft personnel in the layout, positioning, and aligning of materials (i.e. pipe, structural iron). Move equipment and material around job site with various hoisting equipment. The individual must understand the importance of prioritization of safety, quality, and production and be willing to work accordingly. Qualifications Support the Company's zero-incident safe culture / zero-defect quality culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities and operations. Comply with company and customer policies and procedures. Follow guidelines, handbooks, state and federal codes / regulations, verbal / written instructions, and directions to perform the assigned task. Maintain records for work order / work permits and material used. Prepare JSA reports, work plans and conduct inspections of worksites and equipment as required. Keep the work area clean and in orderly condition. Must be familiar with hazards associated with working at heights on various types of equipment, such as scaffolding, man lifts and/or air spiders. Ensure lifting equipment and loads are properly inspected before use. Use hand signals and radios to give directions to crane operators engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled. Observe hand signals from other crew members. Inspect, adjust, and perform minor repairs to tools and equipment. Must be familiar in the use of air tuggers, come-a-longs, and other hoisting devices to position material in the job site. Assist in other construction activities, such as fire watch, where you need to have a clear view and immediate access to all areas of hot work area and clear communication with all employees in hot work area.
