We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through five operating subsidiaries: Track Utilities, SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers and Superior Pipeline Services.

Essential Functions:

Meets client and operating company standards related to gas meter work in accordance with our core values Monitors and manages employee records including; dailies, soft logs and digital work forms Maintains logs, discussions, requests, and job scheduling for internal and external clients Trains meter department new hires Installs gas meters, regulators, piping and pipe fitting work with black iron pipe Performs change-out of existing gas utility meters and installs upgraded gas utility meters Performs gas leak repair including above ground meter sets Cleans and prepares meter worksites to eliminate possible hazards Monitors and maintains tools and equipment for proper use, storage, and upkeep Completes all work in an organized, timely manner, within standard operating procedure Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards and communicates abnormal working conditions to appropriate parties Measures, cuts, and threads pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, pipe threaders, or pipe benders Inspects, examines, or tests installed systems or pipelines, using pressure gauge, observation, or other methods Plans pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications Attaches pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment Cuts or bores holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks or walls prior to pipe installation, using hand or power tools Shuts off gases from pipe sections, using valve keys or wrenches Performs other duties as assigned Some travel is required
Success Factors:
Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
Experience and Education:
Three (3+) plus years' experience in a construction role is required Prior crew coordination experience is preferred Licensed Plumber, Pipe Fitter and or three (3) years apprenticeship is preferred An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment. Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
