In this energetic role, you will work closely with skilled operators and project managers to lay underground pipelines for water supply, wastewater, stormwater, sanitary drainage, and other utility systems. Your hands-on efforts will directly contribute to the successful completion of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, precision, and quality every step of the way. Responsibilities Assist in the installation of underground utilities including sanitary sewers, water supply lines, stormwater systems, and oil & gas pipelines by following detailed construction plans and blueprints. Use hand tools and specialized equipment like pipe lasers to ensure precise pipe alignment and placement according to technical specifications. Follow all safety regulations including federal construction safety standards to maintain a secure work environment on-site. Assist with concrete finishing tasks related to pipe bedding or support structures when necessary. Interpret technical drawings and construction plans to accurately execute pipe installation projects aligned with engineering specifications. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites or in utility installation projects is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and construction plans for underground utility systems. Familiarity with safety regulations including federal construction safety standards related to trenching, shoring, and excavation work. Basic proficiency with hand tools used in trenching and pipe fitting tasks. Experience with wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, stormwater infrastructure or oil & gas pipelines is a plus. Strong attention to detail when following blueprint specifications for pipe placement and system connections.
