Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Pipe Layer/Laborer, where you will play a vital role in laying and installing underground pipelines for utility, water, sewer, or oil & gas projects. This energetic position requires a motivated individual ready to work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing heavy equipment and precise techniques to ensure safe and efficient pipeline installation. Your expertise will help build the infrastructure that keeps communities connected and functioning smoothly. Duties Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently. Assist in the layout and measurement of pipeline routes using blueprint reading skills and pipe laser technology for accuracy. Prepare trenches by digging, grading, and leveling to specifications, ensuring proper depth and alignment. Install pipes with precision, including joining sections, welding where necessary, and securing pipelines according to safety standards. Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins, preventing damage or accidents. Support concrete forming and finishing tasks for related structures such as manholes or vaults. Follow safety protocols diligently while maintaining a clean and organized work site to promote efficiency and safety. Skills Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks. Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate pipeline placement. Experience with concrete finishing, pipe laser alignment, welding, and concrete forming techniques. Knowledge of utility locating methods and pipeline installation procedures within construction sites. Ability to work collaboratively with team members on complex projects requiring precise coordination. Strong physical stamina with the capability to perform manual labor in outdoor environments for extended periods.
Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
