The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires proficiency in operating heavy equipment and a strong understanding of construction site protocols. Duties Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for various utilities including water, gas, and oil. Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, front loaders, and bulldozers to dig trenches and position pipes. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to project specifications. Collaborate with other construction workers to coordinate tasks on-site effectively. Perform welding tasks as needed for pipeline connections. Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or issues. Experience Proven experience in pipelaying or a related field is preferred. Skilled in laying and aligning pipes for watermain systems, including ductile iron and PVC pipes. Experience with pipe cutting, fitting, and installation of valves, couplings, and other components. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, specifically loader operation and backhoe operation. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction site layouts. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
