Plumber/Fitter - Grand Rapids, MI $25.00-35.00 per hour Local Projects Competitive Company Benefits Job Description Seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join our growing team here in West Michigan. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting piping systems used in commercial, industrial, and mechanical construction projects. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and repair piping systems for water, steam, air, gas, and process applications. Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and isometric drawings. Measure, cut, thread, groove, weld, braze, and fit pipe according to project requirements. Install plumbing fixtures, valves, pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, and mechanical systems. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plumbing and piping systems. Test piping systems for leaks, pressure integrity, and proper system operation. Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and process piping issues. Essential Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting. Ability to read and work from blueprints and project plans. Proficiency in cutting, measuring, sweat tapping, and leveling. Previous welding experience is a plus. State of Michigan Journeyman card holder preferred but not required. Reliable transportation and valid drivers license. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in various locations across West Michigan, primarily in commercial and industrial settings. The role operates on a 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with flexible hours to accommodate project needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
