Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Pipe Layer and become a vital part of building infrastructure that lasts! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for sizing, installing, and repairing underground gas piping systems for high end backyard experiences. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality pipe system installations on diverse construction sites. This paid position offers an opportunity to work with both underground hdpe and interior steel piping systems. Responsibilities Read and interpret rough blueprints, technical and construction plans related to pipeline layouts and installation procedures. Properly size fuel systems using the longest length method and branch method to provide adequate fuel to 1 or more appliances. Operate trenchers to create trenches and position pipes accurately. Install pipelines using specialized tools like pipe fusing equipment to ensure proper sizing and additional hdpe outlets to more than 1 appliance on a system. Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before digging begins, preventing damage or accidents. Plastic fuse pipe sections securely using appropriate fusing techniques to ensure leak-proof connections. Follow safety protocols rigorously while working on construction sites involving gas pipeline projects. Skills Proficiency in trencher operation and potentially driving box trucks. Skilled in blueprint reading with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of plumbing systems, pipeline construction, and utility locating techniques. Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures related to gas projects. Self driven. Desire to learn and improve your abilities.
