Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and bend various sizes of pipe and tubing to required angle/length using pipe cutters and benders Thread and assemble steel pipe Prepare, fabricate, fit and install pipe to specifications Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges in piping systems according to plans and applicable specifications Repair leaks in all types of pipe systems Assemble, install and repair piping systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards Work with other departments as neededRequirements:
Minimum of 4 years' experience in either Industrial Pipefitting or Commercial Plumbing Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications. Can read/interpret blueprint/schematics Basic knowledge of Plumbing & Mechanical Code Material take-offs Process piping system knowledge Investigate and complete piping repairsValid Drivers License Preferred Requirements:
Hot tap Journeyman plumber license Cone and thread Victaulic certification NCCER pipe fitting certification Equipment & tool experience: Aerial lift Operation- Boom & Scissor Lift Forklift Operation
- Material Handling up to 5000# Forklift Operation
- Material Handling up to 8000# Telehandler Chauffeur LIC/Med DOT Physical (preferred) Trailer Loading and Securing of Material (preferred)
Rigging Requirements:
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials Utilize and understand the constraints of chains, synthetic, metal mesh, and wire rope slings Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines Identifies common load configurations & positioning Rigger 1 training- trains on above
