Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our Mechanical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. The technician will utilize their expertise in HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, and equipment repair to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. A valid driver's license is essential for this position.
Responsibilities System Installation :
Laying out, assembling, and installing pipe systems for hydronic heating, hot water boilers, steam, and refrigeration.
Fabrication & Repair:
Cutting, threading, bending, and joining pipes using welding (arc/gas), brazing, soldering, or cementing techniques.
Testing and Inspection:
Conducting pressure tests to ensure system integrity and no leaks.
Maintenance:
Troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing malfunctioning valves, pipes, and related HVAC equipment.
Blueprint Reading :
Analyzing technical drawings and specifications to plan pipe layouts.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to safety regulations (OSHA) and building codes for hazardous, high-pressure, or volatile systems. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed. Work in various environments including construction sites, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. Experience Knowledge of pipe fitting tools (torches, grinders, threading machines) and welding techniques. Construction experience is a plus, especially involving HVAC installation or maintenance projects. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and refrigeration systems Mechanical knowledge of boilers, air conditioning units, refrigeration cycles, and equipment repair techniques. Familiarity with welding techniques and boiler systems is advantageous. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required for travel between job sites.
