Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our manufacturing and construction teams. This role involves performing precise welding and fitting tasks to assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, structural components, and equipment in various industrial and construction environments. Duties Execute welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG, and Pipe welding in accordance with project specifications and safety standards. Interpret blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components. Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes utilizing hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment. Perform pipefitting tasks including pipe installation, soldering, tube bending, and sprinkler system fitting while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and ASME codes. Maintain safety regulations by adhering to safety protocol guidelines during all operations; operate power tools safely and responsibly. Conduct routine inspections of welded joints and fittings for quality assurance; document work progress accurately. Assist with rigging, assembly, maintenance activities on construction sites or manufacturing facilities as needed. Support fabrication activities by interpreting technical drawings and schematics for custom projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Skills Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding techniques. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, fabrication processes, pipefitting, HVAC systems, plumbing installations, and sprinkler systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools; familiar with power tool safety protocols. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe dimensions and fabrication tolerances. Experience with pipe bending, tube bending, soldering techniques, and assembly procedures. Knowledge of safety regulations including NFPA standards for fire protection systems; adherence to OSHA guidelines. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to piping and pressure vessels. Construction site experience or manufacturing background demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments. Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for complex piping or structural assemblies. Competence in rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy components safely. Understanding of maintenance procedures for industrial equipment or piping systems. Effective communication skills for teamwork across diverse project environments.
