32-40/HR Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to support HVAC fabrication and assembly operations. This role involves welding and joining cast iron, copper, and sheet metal components used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multiple welding techniques and is comfortable working in a production or shop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform welding on cast iron, copper, and sheet metal HVAC components Utilize various welding processes (MIG, TIG, brazing, soldering as needed) Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings Fabricate, assemble, and repair HVAC parts and systems Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and safety standards Inspect finished workpieces for defects and accuracy Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines Qualifications 2+ years of welding or fabrication experience (HVAC or related industry preferred) Experience working with copper (brazing/soldering) and cast iron strongly preferred Ability to weld thin materials such as sheet metal without warping Familiarity with HVAC systems/components is a plus Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately Strong attention to detail and workmanship Welding certifications are a plus but not required Preferred Skills Experience with HVAC ductwork or system fabrication Knowledge of flux, filler materials, and heat control for different metals Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Work Environment Shop-based fabrication environment May require lifting up to 50 lbs Exposure to heat, fumes, and industrial equipment (PPE provided) Why Join Us Stable, full-time opportunity in a growing Mechanical sector Competitive hourly pay with potential for overtime Opportunity to expand welding skills across multiple materials
