Responsibilities:
Install industrial piping systems: chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water Read blueprints and submittals Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines Work independently and problem solve Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping Instruct plumbing helpers under your supervision Practice all EAS safety procedures Hold license to operate equipment necessary for the role
Education Requirements/Qualifications:
Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required Minimum of a high school education or equivalent Rigging knowledge preferred 5 years pipefitter experience preferred Knowledge of pipefitter equipment, power tools, and fabrication methods Knowledge of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions General knowledge of code requirements and limitations Knowledge of occupational hazards, including ladders
Job Requirements/Special Skills:
Ownership of pipefitter hand tools Ability to work independently and on a team Strong verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
