Job Description

Job Summary Waggoner Manufacturing Co., Inc. is a small family-owned and operated industrial maintenance business in Mount Ulla, North Carolina. Our job sites are primarily within a 30-mile radius of our operations. An occasional project may require travel. Responsibilities Work from drawings, sketches, welding symbols and specifications with basic or explained instructions. Set up and operate metal arc welding equipment to perform routine TIG, Stick, and MIG welding operations. Set and monitor current, gas pressures and regulate pressure controls. Select rod, wire, tips and electrodes for specific operation to be performed. Lay smooth bead to obtain proper penetration and fusion of metals. Fit, position and install piping in accordance with drawing specification, positions and secure holding devices as necessary once parts are assembled or fabricated. Assist pipe fitter with measuring, cutting, fitting, grinding, threading, etc. as necessary Utilize ladders and lifts as necessary Use basic craft hand tools as necessary Comply with all current regulations and safety requirements Requirements Minimum 2 years applicable pipe welding experience in an industrial setting Proficiency in TIG, Stick, and MIG Ability to pass weld Certification Tests Experience with weld pipe, screw pipe, Victaulic, etc. Experience with carbon, stainless, copper, sanitary food grade, etc. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Ability to squat, twist, stand/be on your feet 10 to 12 hours per day Ability to lift 50 pounds or greater on a regular basis Ability to ascend and descend ladders and steps on a regular basis Ability to operate and utilize lifts Ability to work OT when required Possess basic craft hand tool Possess valid current US Driver's license Have dependable and readily available means of transportation Offered Benefits 4 Day work week (M-Th 7-5:30) Paid Time off Holiday Pay Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Short-term Disability Insurance Long-term Disability Insurance 401k with employer matching
