JOB DESCRIPTION
Ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, connecting underground pipe systems for water main, reinforced concrete pipe, sanitary, and sewer installation. Ensures ground is prepared and excavations completed by proper and safe use of tools, and equipment. Hawkins Construction offers in-house training and certifications for: rigging and signaling, pipe laser level, and heavy equipment.BENEFITS

Full-Time/RegularREQUIREMENTS
Configure pipe routes. Dig trenches with trenching tools. Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications. Seal joints. Grade trenches or culverts. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels. Great work ethic and job focus Attention to detail and thoroughness. Continuous improvement driven. Effective Communicator Problem-solving skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand for long periods of time. Have full use of arms and hands and the ability to reach for, handle and manipulate objects. Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds. Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects. Carry tools and equipment. Be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl for long periods of time. Be able to see (naturally or with correction) The environment is exclusively outdoors; thus, the job often involves all weather extremes. Work requires alert individuals with good balance, physical strength, and on-the-job training. The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
