Copper Pipefitter/Installer

OVERVIEW

Devault Refrigeration, Inc., is a leading industrial and commercial refrigeration contractor located in Pennsylvania that serves the Mid-Atlantic region since 1983. Devault is seeking a dedicated and reliable Copper Pipefitter/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in brazing and be able to work with copper materials. The Copper Pipefitter/Installer will be responsible for brazing copper parts and components, reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and ensuring that all finished products meet the required specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent, required
• Trade school education or apprenticeship, preferred
• Industrial/commercial refrigeration training, preferred
• Working knowledge of equipment and tools needed for the job
• Ability to work independently
• Focused on safety and quality
• Comfortable working at elevation and ability to climb ladders
• Manage time effectively and efficiently
• Valid Driver's license and insurable driving record, required
• Ability to pass ASME Section IX Brazing Certification
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• OSHA 30/10 and Lift certification, preferred
• Must pass substance screenings and background screenings
• Must abide by employee manual and all safety policies

SCHEDULE HOURS

• 40+ hours per week - working times vary between 6:00 am to 4:30 pm
• On-call availability for off-hour work; emergencies, shutdowns, and/or maintenance
• Opportunity for over-time

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Braze/solder copper parts and components using ASME brazing techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, and technical drawings
• Ensure that all finished products meet the required specifications
• Monitor and maintain truck inventory, trade equipment, and tools
• Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on trade equipment
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all projects are completed on time
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Ensure that all work is completed according to quality standards
• Continuously improve brazing/soldering techniques and processes
• Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor
• Perform other duties as assigned
