Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Union Pipe Fitter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler piping systems across various industrial and commercial projects. Your expertise in pipefitting will ensure that all fire sprinkler installations meet strict safety standards and adhere to NFPA 13 and technical specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install piping systems in accordance with project specifications. Perform pipe fitting tasks including cutting and threading. Fabricate pipe components and assemblies utilizing hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment to ensure precise fit and function. Install fire sprinkler systems, pipeline networks, and other plumbing infrastructure following NFPA standards. Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy pipe sections safely on construction sites while adhering to safety regulations and protocols. Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, inspections, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues on-site, interpret technical schematics, and ensure seamless assembly of piping systems. Qualifications Union Pipe Fitter or 7 years proven non-union experience as a fire sprinkler pipe fitter or pipefitter apprentice on construction sites with a strong understanding of fire sprinkler installation processes. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of piping systems including sprinkler systems, fire protection piping, and pipeline networks. Skilled in using hand tools such as pipe threaders, power tools, and rigging equipment safely. Familiarity with NFPA 13 standards related to fire sprinkler fitting and safety protocol adherence on construction sites. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication and installation tasks. Strong understanding of NFPA 13 codes & standards. Excellent safety awareness with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Construction site experience with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings efficiently. $50.75 - $66.53 per hour
