Overview We are seeking a skilled Threaded Pipe Fitter to join our construction and manufacturing teams. This essential role involves installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in various welding techniques, and experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of complex piping projects, ensuring safety, precision, and durability across diverse applications. Base wage pay for this job is 18/HR. Depending on your skill and experience, this may be more. Increases can be earned during and after the 6-month probationary period. Increases will be based on performance and quality of work. The current top wage for this position is 28.50. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment. Perform welding operations including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other relevant welding techniques to join pipe components. Fit fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, pipeline assemblies, and plumbing fixtures following ASME codes & standards. Conduct soldering and tube bending tasks to ensure proper fit and function of piping assemblies. Utilize calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to verify dimensions and ensure precise installation. Maintain safety protocols on construction sites or manufacturing environments while rigging and handling heavy pipe sections. Support maintenance activities by troubleshooting pipe issues and performing repairs as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met with quality workmanship. Ability to perform pipe threading accurately using professional threading equipment. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing pressure vessels and piping systems. Mechanical knowledge related to tube bending, rigging operations, and system maintenance. Experience working on construction sites or within manufacturing environments. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting. Knowledge of schematics for complex piping layouts across various industries. Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions precisely.
