In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations on-site, adhering to strict ASME codes and standards, and ensuring the integrity and safety of structural components. Your skills will directly contribute to the successful completion of complex projects, from pipe fabrication to ductwork assembly, all while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment that values precision and craftsmanship. This position offers opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and welding expertise in diverse construction settings. Responsibilities Perform
SMAW, GTAW
(TIG), and FCAW welding on pressure vessels, boilers, and piping systems. Execute welds in all positions in accordance with ASME code requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure proper fit-up and alignment of parts. Conduct rigging, pipe threading, and assembly tasks safely on-site while maintaining strict quality standards. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and tools; adhere to safety procedures. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while ensuring compliance with all ASME standards and safety regulations. Required ASME code welding experience.
Preferred:
State of Oregon Class 4 and 5 boiler license. Pass DOT medical exam with drug screening for driving commercial vehicles. Driving record free of serious violations. Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, machining processes, and assembly procedures. Work Environment Field-based role with travel to job sites, occasional out of town work with overnight stays. Work in industrial environments (plants, mechanical rooms, outdoor sites). Exposure to heat, confined spaces, and elevated work areas. Overtime and weekend work as required.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
