Role:

Join Peebles-Herzog, Inc. as a Pipe Organ Technician/Tuner, where your expertise will bring music to life! In this position, you'll work with a dedicated team in Columbus, Ohio dedicated to preserving and enhancing pipe organs. The position is full time (40 hours a week).

Responsibilities:

Tune and maintain pipe organs to ensure optimal sound quality and performance. Conduct regular inspections and repairs on all components of pipe organs. Document maintenance and tuning activities for each instrument serviced. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques in organ tuning and maintenance. Assist in the installation, repairs, and restoration of pipe organs and related equipment. Work with a variety of tools and technology.

Requirements:

Proven experience in pipe organ tuning and maintenance is preferred and will be compensated appropriately. High school education or equivalent. Basic understanding of a musical keyboard and/on musical training. Basic knowledge and skill with tools. Ability to lift and carry objects in an excess of 50 lbs. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willingness to travel for on-site tuning and maintenance. Ability to work in cramped or confining spaces, as well as spaces that may be high up requiring access via a ladder. Strong communication skills for client interactions.
