Full Job Description Who We Are:
AVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry - from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to implementing patented first of its kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling at government sites. AVANTech's goal is to improve the environment around us and support our clients with innovative sustainable water treatment solutions.
Core Responsibilities Blueprint & Layout Interpretation:
Read and scale complex mechanical drawings, blueprints, and isometric specifications to plan the layout of pipe systems in the field
Pipe Fabrication:
Measure, cut, and bevel pipes (using tools like angle grinder or saw) to fit required angles and dimensions
Assembly & Installation:
Join pipe sections and fittings using welding or threaded joints. Install and secure piping systems using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to strict OSHA and job-site safety standards, particularly when dealing with hazardous chemicals or high-pressure systems
Required Skills & Qualifications Mechanical & Technical Skills:
High proficiency in understanding welding (e.g. pipe welding) and the ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery. Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install pressure piping systems
Math:
Strong aptitude for basic math and geometry to calculate dimensions and angles
Physical Capabilities:
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, standing for long periods, or at elevated heights
Education & Certifications Experience/Apprenticeship:
