ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Builds rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions Models safety as a core guiding principle and brings safety concerns to the Superintendent Works at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions Plans, lays out, installs forms, rebar, embeds, anchor bolts, and concrete in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Uses appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts. Constructs built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms, according to specifications for molding concrete structures. Erects built-in-place forms or assemble and install prefabricated forms. Inserts spreaders and tie-rods between opposite pieces to maintain specific dimensions. Anchors and braces forms to fixed objects using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks and timber. Builds wooden structures such as scaffold supports and frame shelters according to specifications and project specifications. Pours concrete into finished forms to specified textures; vibrate, level, smooth and shape surface of concrete. Finishes concrete surfaces to specifications; remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces using power grinder or chisel and hammer and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound; and install all other items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must be able to work outside on construction site including all types of weather (extremes of hot/cold) You will be working in a temporary facility/structure Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites) You must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus You frequently work near moving mechanical parts. You occasionally work in high, precarious places and are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. You should be able to recognize these hazards or potential hazards a react accordingly to protect the workforce and provide OSHA compliant safeguards Lastly, we're creating a different kind of company at Elmington.
