Goodlettsville, TN Job Overview SBW Constructors LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Layer to join our construction team. This role is essential to installing, aligning, and repairing underground piping systems for commercial, industrial, and government projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with water, storm drainage, and sewer piping while ensuring proper grading, alignment, and compaction. Key Responsibilities Install and align water, storm, and sewer pipelines according to project specifications. Excavate and prepare trenches using manual labor and heavy equipment. Ensure proper grade and slope using levels and laser alignment tools. Cut, measure, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Seal joints and ensure proper pipe connections to prevent leaks or misalignment. Perform backfilling and compaction to ensure structural stability. Follow OSHA and company safety regulations to maintain a safe worksite. Collaborate with site supervisors, operators, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently. Inspect materials, tools, and equipment to identify and report maintenance needs. Qualifications Proven experience as a Pipe Layer in commercial or industrial construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and pipe specifications. Knowledge of different types of pipes (PVC, ductile iron, concrete, HDPE, etc.). Experience working with underground utilities and site development. Strong understanding of grading, compaction, and trench safety procedures. Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred but not required:

OSHA certification, trench safety certification, and fall protection training.
