Job Description

Purpose:
The Pipefitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various industrial and commercial projects. This role requires reading blueprints, cutting, threading, and welding pipes and ensuring all piping systems comply with safety and quality standards. The Pipefitter works closely with Project Managers, welders, and other trades to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
Pipe Installation & Fabrication
  • Measures, cuts, threads, and grooves pipes to required specifications, assembles and installs piping systems for industrial, commercial and mechanical applications, connects pipes using welding, brazing, soldering, threading, or sluing or pressing, ensures proper pipe alignment, support, and anchoring according to specifications.   • Reads and interprets blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics, identifies required materials, pipe sizes and connection methods, follows detailed work instructions to meet project specifications and deadlines. Maintenance & Repairs
  • Inspects and troubleshoots existing piping systems for leaks, corrosion, or damage, replaces and or repairs faulty pipes, valves, and fittings as needed, performs pressure tests and other quality control checks to verify system integrity. Compliance & Safety
  • Follows all OSHA, DOT and Company safety regulations when performing repairs, maintains a clean and organized work environment to prevent hazards, ensures all piping systems meet industry codes and regulatory requirements. Collaboration & Communication
  • Works closely with welders, plumbers and other tradespeople to complete projects, coordinates with project managers and supervisors to ensure work is completed on schedule, communicates any issues or required changes to leadership in a timely manner. Other

Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of pipe materials, fittings, and connection methods. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings. Proficiency in using pipefitting tools, including pipe cutters, threading machines, and welding equipment. Knowledge of welding techniques (TIG, MIG, stick) is a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines with excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and or carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in tight spaces. Comfortable working in indoor environments, extreme temperatures and or elevated heights. Ability to work with heavy tools and materials safely.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred. Minimum of 2 years' experience in pipefitting or a related field. Certifications such as
OSHA 10/30, NCCER
pipefitting, or ASME welding certifications are a plus. Why This Role?
