Job Description
Summary The Underground Foreman is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems. Foremen serve as firsthand leaders for their construction crews. Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of all crew members while completing construction projects for our customers. Duties and Responsibilities Perform all responsibilities of an Underground Class A Lineman Responsible for crew administration and equipment management Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive procedures. Capable of leading and teaching underground services, infrastructure, and duct banks. Interact with employees, customers, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner. Adhere to safety and performance standards. Maintain time and material records for the assigned job. Ability to work in confined spaces. Willingness to learn new skills and abilities by participating in continuing education activities. Other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 5 years' experience in the electrical services industry required. Complete OSHA 30 Safety Training Program within 90 days. CDL class A license preferred; must acquire CDL beginners permit within 60 days. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills must be very detail oriented. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements. Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions Strong sense of personal responsibility Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first. Working conditions/Physical Requirements/Travel Working Conditions Work sites are underground in confined space or outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions. All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English.
