  Traveling Pipefitter ; $35/hr + $140 Per Diem project in Newport News, VA.
• Job Description
• We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and have proficiency in fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.
• Responsibilities
• + Read and interpret ship piping drawings.

+ Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping. + End-prep piping by hand or using Portsmouth Machine. + Install pipe hangers. + Read a ruler using inches and tenths. + Prep and fit up backing rings. + Clean cut/break pipe with a grinder. + Hand prep V bevels. + Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings. + Bend pipe from templates and use a hand bender.

• Essential Skills
• + Five years or more of experience as a First Class Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. + Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings. + Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping. + Proficient in using hand tools and Portsmouth Machine for end prep

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $35.

00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
