What we're looking for: Job Description Welder general duties - expected to be able to weld in all positions (flat, vertical and overhead) using stick, tig, mig, and Flux Core. Welders will work with carbon steel, stainless, and exotics such as inco 800, alloy 20, hastelloy, and aluminum. They are expected to layout, install, and repair all types of pipe or similar tubular products in accordance with specifications and plans. Pipefitter general duties - expected to plan, layout, install, test and repair all types of piping systems including relief valves in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. To facilitate project and job completion, the Pipefitter may help and assist other crafts at levels appropriate with training and skills as requested by supervision. What will be expected from you? Complete a site Safety Orientation and follow all site safety and environmental policies. Use appropriate hand and power tools to properly measure, cut, assemble weld, and install all types of pipes and or similar tubular products: install supports, valves and other control equipment, test installed piping systems and install all other related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications, bolt, clamp or weld parts to secure in position for welding; complete welds according to specific process and code. Utilize all pipe fitting techniques and methods for different types of piping systems and pipe couplings including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, and fused joints. Follow job site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work area. Identify safety hazards to protect self and others. Learn maintenance Welder accountabilities including safing of equipment. Team to identify process problem areas and learning how to communicate them up and through the organization using appropriate means of communication. Read and understand drawings in including isometric and orthographic drawings. Visualize two-dimensional drawings in three dimensions. Participate in shift hand-offs at and other key operator communications meetings. Participates in audits, investigations, HAZOPs, PHA's and quality efforts in the areas. Maintains good housekeeping of equipment, control rooms, and the production areas. Complete all safety training including computer bases safety training as required. Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements). Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. REQUIRED 10
years of pipefitter/welder experience, preferably in a petrochemical or refinery setting OR Completion of Pipefitter/Welder Apprenticeship 5-year program is
REQUIRED.
Must have or be able to obtain for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Effective oral, written and computer communication skills. Knowledge of gaskets, wrench to bolt sizes.
