Job Description

DNT Construction is now hiring several Pipe Layers for our Austin Wet Utilities Austin area projects! The Wet Utilities Department supports the underground utility systems by properly backfilling and compacting trenches after pipe installation. To be considered for the role, you must: Have at least 2 year of experience installing underground utilities in: Water, sanitary, storm Installing
RCP/HDPE
Read blueprints and ensure pipe is perfectly aligned. Experience laying down 500 sqft to 600 sqft of pipe a day. Reliable transportation to and from the job site. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check . A work week averages 40 to 60 hours. This job is labor-intensive, and you will be working outside!

Responsibilities:
Ensure trench is properly prepared and excavated according to grade and project specifications Verify trench bottom grade using appropriate tools such as a grade pole or laser level Shovel, level, and fine grade the pre-pipe bedding layer of gravel Assemble, connect, and install underground piping systems including sanitary sewer, water, and storm drainage Confirm proper pipe alignment and fit prior to backfilling Use a grade pole or laser level to verify that pipe is laid to correct grade Grade out top of the pipe bedding envelope and check gravel depth for compliance with job requirements Collaborate closely with equipment operators and other crew members to maintain workflow and site safety DNT Construction does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or staffing vendors.
