Pipefitter- Sherman, TX JR100665 Job Summary Primoris Energy Services, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is seeking a skilled Pipefitter for projects located in Sherman, Texas. This role involves the installation, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of piping systems according to specifications and blueprints. Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs to determine pipe layouts, material requirements, and construction sequences.
- Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes of various materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC) using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assemble and install piping systems, including valves, fittings, and supports, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and pressure integrity.
- Perform hydrotesting and other pressure tests to verify the integrity of completed piping systems.
- Inspect and maintain existing piping systems, identifying and repairing leaks, blockages, or other issues.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, including pipe cutters, threaders, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality control standards.
- Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and project managers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pipefitter in industrial construction, energy, or related fields.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs.
- Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, including cutting, threading, bending, and welding.
- Experience with various pipe materials and fitting types.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material take-offs.
- Familiarity with relevant safety codes and regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., welding certifications) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
