Reporting to the Superintendent, Maintenance, the Technician, Welder is an integral part of our Maintenance team. The successful candidate for this role will possess strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities, along with a willingness to gain new knowledge and learn new skills, demonstrates adaptability and commitment to professional growth. Candidates are required to be comfortable working at heights and on ladders, as well as experienced in using respiratory protection, reflecting both physical capability and adherence to safety protocols in challenging environments.
What You'll Do:
Ensuring safe and efficient work practices Following and adhering to all safety policies, procedures, participating by entering near misses, reporting incidents and attending safety meetings as required Performing daily maintenance by welding , cutting, reading drawings, layout, bolting maintaining repairing different types of static equipment Welding, fabrication and installation of piping and piping components Performaning maintenance and overhauls on equipement Performing pipe fitter Welding work including major overhauls of equipment Repairing heat exchangers, tanks, screws, elevators, plant structures, and boilers Evaluate possible hazards and create plan to perform all work in safe manner Act with a high degree of integrity and ownership Excel in a team environment while also being a self-starter Willingness to work overtime as required Understand, and comply with, standards, policies, and procedures (LO/TO, Hot Work, Confined Space etc.) Comprehend all maintenance practices and continuous improvement concepts
What You'll Bring:
Possess a minimum of grade 12 education, or GED equivalent Technical Degree or vocational training in Welding is preferred 2+ years of maintenance/welding experience, preferably in an industrial setting Ability to qualify to
ASME B&PV
Code Section IX for welding carbon and stainless-steel pipe in all positions using SMAW and GTAW Possess basic computer skills, SAP experience considered a plus Training and experience operating mobile equipment including forklifts, man lifts, carry deck cranes, scissor lifts, etc. Experience with hydro testing of pressure equipment Ready to make an impact with us?
