Shift:

1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Role snapshot Operate an outdoor chemical terminal focused on bulk liquid storage and transfer. Support safe movement of product between railcars, tank trucks, and above-ground tanks while protecting people, equipment, and the environment. This is not an enclosed warehouse position. Your responsibilities

Transfers:

Load/unload bulk liquid chemicals from railcars and tankers; operate pumps, valves, and hoses accurately; monitor temperatures, flow rates, and tank levels.

Rail operations:

Spot, secure, and unload railcars per terminal SOPs; steam railcars to maintain required product temperatures; support blending/prep as needed.

Tank farm care:

Inspect above-ground tanks, pits, and dikes; verify alarms, sight gauges, valves, and pressure relief devices function properly.

Containment capacity:

Pump accumulated water from dikes to ensure compliant spill capacity.

Anomaly response:

Immediately identify and report leaks, corrosion, or unusual conditions. Compliance & readiness: Follow hazmat procedures, SOPs, and PPE requirements; meet DOT, OSHA, EPA, PHMSA, and company safety standards; participate in spill prevention, emergency response, and safety training; stay audit-ready. Working conditions Outdoor environment with exposure to weather, industrial equipment, and hazardous materials. Use of PPE such as respirators, chemical suits, gloves, and eye protection.

Physical demands:

walking, ladder/stair climbing, bending, kneeling, and extended standing. Professional composure under pressure. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work outdoors in all seasons. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs; comfortable with physical labor. Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness. Able to follow written procedures and verbal instructions. Willing to work around hazardous materials.
