Wichita, KS 67052 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Locate Technician to join our team in Wichita, KS. The Locate Technician will be responsible for identifying and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the field. Key Responsibilities Respond to locate requests and accurately identify underground utilities using maps, blueprints, and electronic locating equipment. Mark utility lines clearly and safely using paint, flags, or stakes according to industry standards and local regulations. Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate locate activities. Maintain detailed records of locate activities, including location reports and documentation of any discrepancies or issues. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during locate operations. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.
