The Field Operator II supports daily operations by operating equipment and wells in accordance with operating and safety procedures and guidelines. This role executes the daily operational plan, helps reduce equipment failure, and ensures efficient use and administration of resources.

Responsibilities:

Execute daily work objectives, including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security requirements Participate actively in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings (reported as required) Monitor wells and equipment continuously to identify and implement corrective and optimization actions to maintain reliable, efficient, and safe operating conditions Perform as an Equipment Care Technician and carry out simple maintenance activities using basic maintenance skills Report when any alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown system is out of service Provide detailed, clear, and accurate shift handover information to ensure continuity of operations Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs in line with corrective, predictive, and preventive plans Maintain continuous logbook reporting of operational events, abnormal situations, and deviations involving work areas, equipment, or personnel Take product samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests Participate in emergency response activities Report incidents internally and escalate awareness according to Incident Reporting Guidelines Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consulted regarding operations activities Maintain strong communication within the work team so issues and actions are addressed effectively Provide basic facts related to well production problems, current production rates, and current well conditions Ensure well problem diagnostics are thorough before requesting well intervention operations Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order before intervention operations take over Assist and support ongoing intervention operations as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

Completed secondary education and prior experience as a Field Technician Strong oral and written communication skills High safety, health, and environmental aptitude and promotes the same in others Strong knowledge of pipeline operations Strong knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes Broad knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures Strong knowledge of project philosophy and design specifications Knowledge of relevant regulations Knowledge of relevant commercial agreements Computer savvy Pumper / Gas Lift experience ESP and plunger experience Must be local; position is based in Southeast Midland 3 years' experience preferred
