Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painter to join our team and bring spaces to life through expert painting techniques. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming both residential and commercial environments by applying paint, coatings, and finishes with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Whether working on renovation, restoration, or new construction projects, you will play a vital role in enhancing the visual appeal and integrity of various structures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while contributing to diverse projects that make a lasting impact. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections using hand tools and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications. Apply paints, stains, primers, sealers, and specialty coatings using airless paint spraying equipment or brushes and rollers. Execute detailed trim carpentry, fixture installation, stucco work, masonry finishes, and drywall restoration as needed. Perform construction painting on various surfaces including walls, ceilings, floors, stucco exteriors, and industrial structures while adhering to safety standards. Use construction estimating skills to assess material needs and ensure efficient project completion within budget constraints. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly throughout each project phase. Experience Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of color theory and finishing techniques. Hands-on experience with commercial and industrial painting projects on construction sites. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including spray guns and welding equipment. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, basic math for measurements and calculations, and construction estimating processes. Background in related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), masonry (stucco & concrete finishing), plastering, remodeling, restoration work, or handyman experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites along with experience working at heights or in confined spaces is preferred.
