Job Description

Journeyman Plasterers are responsible for applying coats of plaster or stucco to exterior walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to specifications. Work may involve both traditional hand-applied methods and machine-applied finishes, depending on the scope of the project. Responsibilities Apply exterior plaster or stucco to walls, ceilings, and facades using trowels, brushes, or spray equipment. Prepare surfaces for application by cleaning, taping, or adding bonding agents as needed. Mix plaster/stucco materials to the correct consistency and specifications. Repair cracks, holes, or damaged surfaces with plaster patching. Ensure high-quality finishes with smooth or textured surfaces as required. Work from scaffolds or ladders and ensure all work meets safety and building code standards. Basic Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience with plaster and/or stucco systems. Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and application techniques. Physically capable of lifting materials and working on ladders or scaffolding. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality craftsmanship. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various job sites.
