Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes to deliver high-quality results across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency on every job site. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless sprayers, or spray guns with precision. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes, and specific surface requirements. Perform specialized tasks such as plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work to achieve desired textures and finishes. Execute renovation projects involving restoration of surfaces, remodeling work, or maintenance of existing structures. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks including trimming, framing carpentry, fixture installation, and drywall finishing. Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, welders, and maintenance teams to coordinate project activities. Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and organizing tools and supplies. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents on construction sites. Skills Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, and industrial coating applications. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic coordination. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., scrapers, putty knives) and power tools (e.g., airless sprayers, grinders). Familiarity with plastering techniques, stucco application, caulking methods, and masonry work. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise work. Experience with renovation projects including restoration work and remodeling tasks. Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites including proper handling of chemicals and equipment. Additional skills such as welding, fixture installation, concrete finishing, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, schematics reading, handyman experience, maintenance tasks, airless paint spraying techniques. This position is integral to delivering durable finishes that meet client expectations while adhering to safety regulations.
