This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse landscape and structural projects that transform outdoor spaces. You'll be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of site development tasks, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality results that exceed client expectations. Whether you're experienced in heavy equipment operation or skilled in detailed finishing work, this position provides a vibrant environment to grow your skills and make a tangible impact on construction projects. Responsibilities Perform grading operations using heavy equipment to create level surfaces and proper drainage solutions Install erosion control measures such as silt fences and sediment barriers to protect the environment during construction Lay sod and install landscaping features to enhance site aesthetics and functionality Construct retaining walls using various materials, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to blueprints Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to execute project plans accurately Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks like concrete forming, caulking, or masonry work Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and project specifications Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to coordinate tasks efficiently Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for reporting purposes Requirements Proven experience in site grading, erosion control installation, sod laying, or retaining wall construction Familiarity with construction management software such as Bluebeam or similar tools is a plus Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings Ability to operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, or skid steers safely and effectively Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, and finishing work Experience with excavation techniques, concrete finishing, masonry work, or landscape installation preferred Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites including OSHA regulations Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately This position is paid and offers an engaging environment where your skills directly contribute to impactful outdoor projects.
