In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and painting newly built residential homes, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets client specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to transforming raw construction sites into beautiful, finished homes ready for occupancy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize your comprehensive painting skills, and be part of a dedicated construction team committed to excellence. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools such as airless sprayers, brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Perform trim carpentry, fixture installation, drywall finishing, and stucco application as needed on new construction sites. Conduct restoration and renovation tasks including masonry, plastering, and concrete finishing to achieve desired aesthetic results. Use schematics and technical drawings to accurately execute painting plans on walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and other architectural features. Maintain a safe work environment by following proper procedures for working with scaffolding, welding equipment, scaffolding systems, and handling hazardous materials. Skills Extensive experience in residential and commercial construction painting with knowledge of construction estimating processes. Strong understanding of color theory to select appropriate finishes that complement architectural designs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools (including airless paint sprayers), and scaffolding setup. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and masonry work. Familiarity with renovation projects involving restoration work or remodeling of existing structures. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area and material quantities; carpentry skills including framing and drywall installation are a plus. Experience working on construction sites with safety awareness for industrial painting environments. Handyman experience is advantageous for handling miscellaneous maintenance tasks during projects.
