Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Masonry Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of masonry tasks that contribute to the successful completion of building projects. Your expertise will help shape durable, aesthetically pleasing structures, from residential renovations to large commercial developments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to quality craftsmanship and safety excellence. Duties Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of masonry work. Install and repair various building materials including brick, stone, concrete blocks, stucco, and tile, adhering to project specifications. Prepare surfaces by mixing mortar, applying plaster, caulking, and performing finishing work such as concrete polishing and trimming. Build and dismantle masonry scaffolding safely to access work areas at different heights. Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and welding equipment efficiently and safely during construction activities. Install reinforcement bars (rebar), form concrete structures, and perform concrete masonry work with accuracy and attention to detail. Follow all safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites, including proper handling of materials and equipment for renovation or restoration projects. Skills Extensive experience with concrete forming, finishing, and masonry techniques including stone masonry and bricklaying. Proficiency in construction estimating, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprint specifications. Strong knowledge of construction site safety standards and adherence to safety protocols at all times. Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; heavy equipment; and welding apparatus. Skilled in building material installation for diverse projects like roofing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, stucco application, and tile laying. Experience with rebar installation, concrete restoration techniques, caulking applications, trim carpentry, and roofing systems. Capable of interpreting construction plans accurately for renovation projects or new builds while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
