In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of masonry tasks, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise in handling various building materials, interpreting technical drawings, and adhering to safety protocols will ensure high-quality craftsmanship and project efficiency. Duties Construct, repair, and restore structures using brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials in accordance with blueprints and technical specifications. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements and sequence of work. Mix mortar and concrete accurately, applying it with hand tools or power tools to build walls, facades, fireplaces, and other structures. Install rebar reinforcement within concrete forms to ensure structural integrity during pouring and curing processes. Build scaffolding and safely operate ladders or lifts to access elevated work areas while following all safety protocols. Perform finishing tasks such as troweling, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry to achieve smooth surfaces and aesthetic appeal. Collaborate with other construction professionals on renovation projects, ensuring seamless integration of masonry work with roofing, drywall installation, framing, or metal stud framing. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete masonry work with a strong understanding of building materials and techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, levels, as well as power tools including saws and drills. Knowledge of construction estimating processes related to masonry projects is a plus. Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites including scaffold building and proper handling of hazardous materials. Experience with rebar installation, stone masonry, tile laying, drywall finishing, stucco application, and restoration work is highly desirable. Strong physical stamina for standing, lifting heavy materials, bending, climbing ladders or scaffolds throughout the workday. Valid construction experience with a focus on building material installation in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
