Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring smooth finishes and durable coatings that meet project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of various building projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster materials. Mix plaster compounds accurately according to project requirements, utilizing hand tools and power tools. Apply plaster to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with precision, ensuring smooth, even finishes. Repair and restore existing plaster surfaces, including stucco and decorative finishes, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to interpret project specifications accurately. Operate heavy equipment and scaffolding safely to access elevated or hard-to-reach areas. Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry teams to coordinate work seamlessly on-site. Qualifications Proven experience in plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, or related trades within a construction environment. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans for accurate execution of tasks. Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, hawks, floats), power tools (mixers, grinders), and heavy equipment related to construction work. Knowledge of additional skills such as drywall installation, caulking, tile laying, roofing, masonry, welding, flooring installation, cabinet installation, glass installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, painting or restoration is a plus. Familiarity with construction management software like Bluebeam is advantageous for project documentation. Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently on active construction sites. Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
