Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painting Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and professionalism, ensuring client satisfaction and project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship while working on diverse projects that challenge and develop your skills. Duties Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, and finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment to achieve smooth, even coatings. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, masonry finishes, and drywall finishing. Execute trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and masonry repairs as needed for seamless project completion. Manage construction site safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout each project phase. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within budget. Skills Extensive experience in residential and commercial painting projects with a strong understanding of construction estimating. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for precise project execution. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues and finishes that meet client expectations. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, welding equipment, and airless paint spraying systems. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and maintenance procedures. Ability to perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and remodeling tasks. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications. Experience with fixture installation, renovation projects, handyman tasks, and general maintenance work.
