Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Your expertise will help transform spaces, whether residential, commercial, or industrial, into visually appealing and durable environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and creativity while contributing to the beautification and preservation of structures. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers including airless paint spraying equipment Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project scope and specifications Execute detailed work involving trim carpentry, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and fixture installation to achieve seamless finishes Perform restoration work on existing surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper and repairing damaged areas with masonry or drywall techniques Utilize power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and quality standards Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting or industrial painting environments with a strong understanding of construction site safety practices Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate paints and finishes for various applications Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including sanders and sprayers Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for precise application of coatings and finishing techniques Familiarity with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, framing carpentry, renovation processes and maintenance tasks Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating material needs; experience with construction estimating is a plus Handyman experience or background in carpentry (including trim carpentry), welding or masonry is advantageous Strong construction site experience with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality standards Join us if you're passionate about transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship!
