Painter Bell Built Services Franklin, OH 45005 From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract From $17 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Full-time, Contract Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating visually appealing environments while maintaining safety and efficiency on construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship and attention to detail in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope, color schemes based on color theory, and specific finish requirements. Execute various types of painting projects including residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, industrial painting, restoration work, and renovation projects. Use construction estimating skills to assess project needs, materials required, and timeframes for completion. Perform related carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and framing when necessary to prepare surfaces or install fixtures. Handle masonry tasks like stucco application or concrete finishing as part of comprehensive renovation projects. Maintain safety protocols on construction sites by properly handling scaffolding, ladders, welding equipment (if applicable), and other tools while adhering to OSHA standards. Assist with fixture installation and maintenance tasks to support overall project completion. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a strong understanding of construction site procedures. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading for accurate project execution. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and scaffolding setup. Knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic finishes. Background in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, or restoration is highly desirable. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings related to construction projects. Previous handyman experience or general maintenance skills are a plus for versatile project support. Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential in estimating materials needed.
