Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute painting plans aligned with project requirements Perform construction site tasks including framing, trim carpentry, drywall installation, masonry work like stucco and concrete finishing, and fixture installation when needed Conduct restoration and renovation work by repairing damaged surfaces and updating existing structures with precision Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for efficient job execution Maintain safety protocols on-site by handling tools properly and adhering to all health and safety regulations Skills Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting projects Strong knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate paints and finishes Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial equipment such as welding machines Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately Familiarity with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, and concrete finishing techniques Experience in construction estimating and basic math for project planning Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work Knowledge of industrial painting processes and fixture installation techniques Skilled in maintenance tasks including handyman services like drywall repair or fixture replacement This role is perfect for candidates with construction site experience who thrive in fast-paced environments.
