Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming spaces through expert painting techniques, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the aesthetic appeal, durability, and value of various structures. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray equipment like airless paint sprayers. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialized painting tasks including plastering, stucco application, caulking, and restoration work on various surfaces. Execute construction painting tasks on new builds or renovation sites while adhering to safety standards and project timelines. Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for surface preparation and finishing touches. Assist with related carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry and fixture installation when needed. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes to assess project requirements accurately. Deep understanding of color theory for selecting appropriate paints and finishes that meet client specifications. Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, and industrial painting environments. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and spray equipment essential for efficient job performance. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with precision. Experience with plastering, caulking, masonry, framing carpentry, renovation projects, and restoration work. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations. Knowledge of schematics related to fixture installation or maintenance tasks on construction sites. Familiarity with welding or concrete finishing is a plus for specialized projects involving masonry or industrial environments. Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile task execution across multiple trades within the project scope.
