Duties Install, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and appliances using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute plumbing layouts and repairs. Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues related to leaks, blockages, or mechanical failures. Utilize welding skills and pipe threading techniques to assemble and modify piping systems as needed. Perform remodeling tasks involving plumbing components, carpentry, and assembly work on residential sites. Assist with HVAC system troubleshooting and repairs when necessary to ensure optimal home comfort. Lift heavy materials safely during construction or remodeling projects while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience in construction plumbing, including installation and repair of residential systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems. Familiarity with construction site procedures, remodeling projects, and general carpentry skills. Knowledge of HVAC systems and schematics is a plus. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience preferred for site travel. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting plumbing layouts. Handyman experience or remodeling background is highly desirable to support diverse project needs.
