Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Service Plumber to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various plumbing job locations. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. Responsibilities Superior customer service skills Traveling to specific job locations Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plumbing problems Prepare estimating and material lists Lay out jobs and order material Install and repair any of the following items: Water heaters, faucets, toilets, boilers, plumbing fixtures, etc. Replace sewer mains and repair gas lines. Provide adequate services that will ensure that all water supply networks and waste and drainage systems are installed, repaired, and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety Superior problem-solving skills Flexible with hours and schedule Light Commercial and industrial plumbing Manage multiple jobs at one time Interact with a variety of personalities and cultures Excellent customer service skills Physical Demands Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts or equipment and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination Will work in confined spaces and/or in high places Qualifications and Education Requirements 3-5 years plumbing experience Journeyman status preferred Current Backflow Certification preferred Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools pertinent to the plumbing industry Knowledge of machines and tools, which includes their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This will include customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction Preferred Skills Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems Able to talk to others and convey information effectively Able to actively listen and give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, ask the appropriate questions, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Able to talk to others in a respectful, clear, and concise manner Able to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Able to use sound judgment by considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to make the most appropriate decision Able to monitor and assess not only their performance, but the performance of others, to suggest improvements or take corrective action Able to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule Ability to use Apple iPhone products Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and at times perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions Ability to understand, follow, and transmit oral and written instructions Ability to take direction Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Ability to understand, follow, and transmit oral and written instructions Ability to communicate clearly Ability to use time efficiently for the benefit of the company and the customer Wages offered will be determined dependent upon experience.
