About the
Role:
As a Plumber, you will play a critical role in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings across the United States. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of water, gas, and waste management systems, adhering to all relevant safety codes and regulations. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical documents to accurately plan and execute plumbing installations and repairs. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, precision, and quality workmanship to prevent system failures and ensure customer satisfaction. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the health, safety, and comfort of the communities served by maintaining reliable plumbing infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship or vocational training program. Valid plumbing license or certification as required by the state of employment. Proven experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with stainless steel piping and fittings. Familiarity with carpentry skills to assist in related construction tasks. Proficiency in writing detailed routine reports and correspondence. Knowledge of operating and maintenance instructions for various plumbing systems. Additional certifications in specialized plumbing areas such as gas fitting or backflow prevention.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to building codes and safety regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems. Operate and maintain power tools and plumbing equipment safely and efficiently. Write routine reports and correspondence to document work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and electricians to ensure integrated project completion. Follow safety rules rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with occupational health standards. Perform routine inspections and maintenance to identify and resolve potential plumbing issues before they escalate.
