Bell Bros is seeking a Plumbing Safety Inspection Technician to perform residential plumbing safety inspections across the Sacramento region. In this field-based role, you'll evaluate fixtures, water heaters, gas lines, and drains, identify hazards and code issues, and clearly document your findings. You'll educate homeowners on safety risks and recommend repairs while upholding Bell Bros' customer-first, family-style culture. Working with modern tools and a supportive team, you'll maintain detailed digital reports, follow strict safety and cleanliness standards, and receive ongoing technical training with opportunities to grow into leadership or specialist roles. Responsibilities Perform residential plumbing safety inspections on fixtures, water heaters, gas lines, and drains Identify code violations, leaks, wear, and potential hazards; document findings clearly Test water pressure, shutoff valves, and backflow prevention devices Recommend repair or replacement options to protect homeowners and meet local codes Complete detailed inspection reports using company tools and software Communicate clearly with homeowners, explaining findings and safety concerns Follow Bell Bros safety standards, protective equipment use, and cleanliness guidelines Coordinate with dispatch and service teams to schedule follow-up work Maintain tools, inspection equipment, and company vehicle in safe working order Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to stay current with codes and best practices Required Skills Plumbing system inspection Reading and interpreting plumbing codes Use of gauges and diagnostic tools Water heater and gas line safety assessment Backflow and pressure testing Technical report writing Mobile field service software Customer communication and education Time and route management Safety and PPE procedures
